| As automotive enthusiasts we all change our oil, add performance mods, throw on some aesthetic pieces to make them look better but, do we ever think to change our old ugly engine hoses? That is something you should definitely think about if you are either showing your car, or you want ooh's and ahh's when you pop your hood, or if you just daily drive your ride and want to make sure that your vacuum lines have a longer life span than the average everyday oem rubber ones. Over the years it has become harder for the average auto enthusiast to find a good quality hose kit because there are a lot of cheap knockoffs. I stress to beware of These knockoff kits because they can fail under certain engine temps and some don't hold up to the vacuum pressures that an engine can put out. I have seen quite a few cars that have failed vacuum lines that look like they have been ran over by a truck. I have also witnessed hoses that soak up certain fluids and start to deteriorate and leak into your engine bay. The last thing you need is one of your engine lines to fail. This is what brings us to our featured product for the month of June. We here at ShowandDrift.com picked up a Hosetechniques high end universal show kit for our project Mustang GT because we heard about Hosetechniques quality and how they back their products.. Each kit includes everything you need for a DIY installation including a super hose slitter, super hose cutter and heat resistant zip ties. One of the great things about these kits are the ease of installation. Any beginner that hasnt had any experience on cars would be able to do a HoseTechniques install give or take a little time. It took us about a good hour to finish our Mustang given that we had to custom cut the hoses to fit. Although HoseTechniques didn't have a precut kit for our Mustang they do have many kits that are ready to go out the box and are already precut to the specific sizes of your old hoses for a direct replacement. You can find out if they have your car specific kit and find out more information at their website www.HoseTechniques.com. |
